AvaTrade Partner Code 128979: What It Really Does

Every few weeks someone asks me about partner codes. Same question every time: do you get discounted fees or free trading?

Short answer: no. AvaTrade doesn't charge commission on forex. You pay the spread. That's your trading cost. A partner code won't affect it.

Partner code 128979 gets you access to the deposit bonus. Extra funds in your account based on how much you put in. Nothing more complicated than that.

How much bonus do you receive?

Deposit $1,000 and get $200.

Put in $2,000, get $400.

Deposits between $5,000 and $9,999 get $1,000.

Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. Most people won't hit that.

British traders get £160 bonus on £800 deposits. Top tier reaches £11,200.

Minimum to open an account is $100. But you need $1,000 to qualify for bonus.

The field is hidden

When you're signing up. Below the phone field, look for small text that says "Have a Partner Code?" with an arrow next to it. Click the arrow. A field drops down. Type **128979**.

Easy to miss since it's collapsed by default.

Sometimes it shows as invalid, don't worry. Complete your registration. Contact support before linkedin avatrade partner code funding. Tell them you want 128979 applied. They handle this regularly.

Bonus withdrawal conditions

There's a volume requirement.

About 10,000 units for every dollar of bonus. You'd need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Active traders hit it quicker than expected.

Your own money stays yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. Only the bonus has the restriction.

Worth mentioning: locked bonus funds still contribute to your margin. This lets you take bigger positions. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
